The Nintendo’s Switch Online membership service has gotten a lot of buzz recently, particularly the Expansion Pack plan, which debuted late last year. This is mostly due to the addition of Banjo-Kazooie to the Nintendo 64 library on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Fixes for Nintendo Switch Online N64 Emulator
When Nintendo adds new titles to the subscription service’s retro libraries, the company will periodically update the retro library’s inner workings, as well as the emulator itself. Nintendo, for example, has been adjusting the Nintendo Switch Online’s Nintendo 64 emulator to do a better job of showing water in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
It’s not great yet, as the fog is still absent, but it’s an indication that Nintendo is at least trying to improve the N64 emulator.

It seems the water in the now-infamous Water Temple room has been fixed in the latest update? I think the fog is still missing, though.
Haven’t checked the rest of the game to see if any of the other issues have changed, but this is promising. pic.twitter.com/wcoG3hIxu2
