Nintendo denies Bloomberg report which claims 4K Dev Kits were sent

Nintendo released an official statement denying a Bloomberg report claiming that dev kits for a 4K Nintendo Switch were sent out to developers.

The Bloomberg report claimed their sources from “11 game companies” had been sent 4K development kits for a Nintendo Switch. This report went on to claim that this rumored 4K Nintendo Switch would be releasing “late 2022 earliest” according to the same sources.

Objection!

In response, Nintendo took to their investor Twitter account to officially deny these claims, outright calling the report “false” in their statement. This statement not only denies the claim that Nintendo sent out tools for a 4K Nintendo Switch, but also re-iterates that they currently have no plans for any new model other than the OLED Model which is releasing next week.

Keep in mind it does not note it is denying the existence of 4K dev kits … so there is that.

Nintendo’s persistent denial of the rumors, it is likely that the Nintendo Switch OLED Model is indeed the only new version of the Nintendo Switch we will be seeing in the close future. But then again it is Nintendo so who knows.
