Nintendo Direct – February 2023 recap

The Nintendo Direct of 8 February had a lot and we mean a lot of highlights, here is a short recap of the main ones;

Nintendo Direct – February 2023 highlights

Metroid Prime Remastered, an HD remake of the first Metroid Prime game, which made its debut on the Nintendo GameCube system, was confirmed to be coming to the Nintendo Switch system in a new Nintendo Direct video presentation that was delivered to terminals throughout the earth today.

A digital edition of Metroid Prime Remastered will be available for purchase on Nintendo Switch later today, and a physical copy of the game will be released on February 22. In addition, Nintendo announced that later today, a growing library of select Game Boy games will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online service, beginning with nine classic titles. Additionally, Nintendo revealed that the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service will receive a growing library of select Game Boy Advance games, beginning with six classic titles today.

The planned sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, titled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, was another game that received a significant amount of attention at today’s Nintendo Direct. The gameplay video of Link’s huge trip revealed previously unseen weaponry and vehicles, as well as islands floating above Hyrule that had never been seen before. In addition, the first complete gameplay trailer for Pikmin 4, the newest installment in the Pikmin series, which tasks players with overcoming challenges on an alien world by directing a cast of little critters, was just made public. The most recent version will be available for purchase on Nintendo Switch on July 21, and it will contain a Space Dog, Ice Pikmin, and a variety of other new discoveries.

Metroid Prime Remastered

The original Metroid Prime video game has been restored for the Nintendo Switch console, and it has high-definition images as well as improved sound. Pikmin 4

Pikmin 4 introduces players to the Pikmin, which are little, plant-like organisms that may be grown, plucked, commanded, and used to overcome foes while completing a significant goal on an unfamiliar world. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp launches to Nintendo Switch on April 21. Sea of Stars

Sea of Stars is a retro-inspired, turn-based role-playing game in which players must use the forces of the sun and moon to defeat evil. Explore at your leisure a gorgeous universe, interact with people from from many walks of life, and wreak havoc on your enemies by timing your assaults just so. On August 29, Sea of Stars will set sail on Nintendo Switch. Later on today, a free demo version of the game will be made available via the Nintendo eShop.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe

A new story will begin to unfold in the Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe game when Magolor, the interdimensional traveler from the main adventure, loses his powers and must flee the realm between dimensions. This event will occur in the game when Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is played. After completing Story Mode, you will have access to this brand new epilogue. This enigmatic region, which has more than 20 different levels to investigate, is open to exploration by as many as four people simultaneously using the same system. Is it possible for Magolor to regain his abilities and go back to his planet without incident? Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass* Vol. 3 and 4

Add fresh stuff to your journeys around Aionios to make them even more memorable! In Volume 3, you will have the opportunity to join forces with Masha, the most recent Hero and an accomplished Lapidarist. Additionally, roguelike-styled Challenge Battles will be included in this update. This downloadable content (DLC) pack for the game Splatoon 3 costs money and offers two waves of content. The city of Inkopolis is part of the first wave. You can make this awesome location from the first Splatoon game your own own stomping area. Inkopolis Plaza, which is a part of Wave 1, has seen significant transitions over the last few years, with some new retailers opening up business there. During Splatfests, here is also where you can see a performance by the Squid Sisters! A new single-player campaign called Side Order super jumps will be added to the Splatoon 3 game in the second wave of this DLC’s content update. Discover what has become of Inkopolis Square, the primary location that is featured in the Splatoon 2 video game. Later on today, the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass will be made available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop, and Wave 1 will be released somewhere in the spring. The debut of Wave 2, Side Order, is scheduled for the future. Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass

New emblems will be included in subsequent waves of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass downloadable content (DLC). These new emblems will be available in waves 2-4. Emblems such as Hector, the Emblem of Strength, Soren, the Emblem of Acumen, and Camilla, the Emblem of Revelation, are among the newly added Emblems that are available in Wave 2 and will assist the Divine Dragon and their friends in combat. Chrom and Robin, an Emblem of Bonds, and Veronica, an Emblem of Heroes are going to be a part of Wave 3, which will have its own set of heroic Emblems. In order to get these Emblems, you will be able to participate in extra tasks. In addition, the Fell Xenologue tale will become accessible after Wave 4 has been completed. The character Birdo, who made his debut in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, will also be included in the next update. Dead Cells – Return to Castlevania

The time-traveling murder mystery that is Ghost Trick and Phantom Detective There will be a new HD version of Ghost Trick. Fashion Dreamer

DECAPOLICE

FANTASY LIFE 

The Girl Who Steals Time is the first episode of the FANTASY LIFE series. You start a new life full of exciting experiences when you find yourself washed up on a mystery island that was previously home to a prosperous ancient civilisation. While you are working on developing your island via activities like as crafts, quests, and battles, you will also be able to travel across time to investigate mysteries and change the course of history. This year saw the release of the FANTASY LIFE I The Girl Who Steals Time game for the Nintendo Switch.

The New World of Steam with Professor Byron Layton

The much-loved series will continue with its next installment, which will see Professor Layton tackling new conundrums in a different environment. As you make your way through the narrative of this puzzle-based fantasy adventure, you will be tasked with solving some really great puzzles. TRON: Identity

Master Detective Archives’ RAIN CODE

This unique experience of figuring out puzzles is called Master Detective Archives’ RAIN CODE and it takes place in the Mysterious Labyrinth. A city of rain is beset by an infinite number of mysteries that have not been solved, and it is completely under the authority of a multinational company. It is up to Master Detectives from all over the globe, each of whom has their own special set of skills, to take on the task of discovering the truth. You take on the role of Yuma, an amnesiac detective-in-training, and are followed by Shinigami, the ghost that is tormenting him as you investigate the constantly shifting environment and find to the bottom of the mystery. On June 30th, Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE will become available for the Nintendo Switch.

Harmony: The Fall of Reverie 

You will take on the role of Polly, an enthusiastic young lady who has the ability to travel between our world and Reverie, a place where the gods make their home. This unique narrative experience is brought to you by DON’T NOD. An apocalypse is on the horizon whenever the equilibrium of these two universes is put in jeopardy by a multinational enterprise. Polly has the ability to see into the future, so she must decide which course of action to pursue in order to protect her planet and save Reverie. Your trip will be set in motion by an engrossing music composed by Lena Raine, who is also responsible for writing the game’s many diverging storylines.
