Nintendo introduced Anti-Cheat measures in Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2 is proving to be as popular as ever with new and existing Nintendo Switch owners. Thanks to the core game being great and the wonderful Octo Expansion.

But like most online multiplayer games, it has fallen prey to cheating and modding.

Nintendo flags systems

Oatmeal Dome, via Khangaroo from the Splatoon Modding Hub, is reporting that Nintendo has introduced new integrity checks in the game since they released Version 3.1.0.

The site reports that bans are applied one day after you have been flagged by the system. So while it might seem cool to do beware of the possible repercussions.

Stay safe, stay fresh!

But … cheating is one thing. Modding is another or that is at least how we look at it. (in a future editorial I will write-up why I personally stand behind that, and yes I have been banned, but I digress I will go into detail on that later).
