The most recent financial figures of Nintendo have been made public, and the company has disclosed that the Nintendo Switch has already sold more than 122.55 million units as of the 31st of December, 2022.
Surpassing the Playstation 4
This indicates that the current platform that Nintendo is using has now outsold Sony’s very profitable PlayStation 4 system. The Nintendo DS and the PlayStation 2 are the only other systems that can compete with the Nintendo Switch family at this point in time. The Nintendo Switch family has now sold 5 million more units than Sony’s PlayStation 4, which is still in second place with 30 million more units sold than the PlayStation 2 system. The total number of Nintendo DS units sold is now at 154,02 million, whereas the number of PlayStation 2 units sold is currently at 155 million.
