Nintendo Switch increases production next year

Nintendo has for this fiscal year already ramped up production of the Nintendo Switch because the demand for Nintendo Switch is unprecedented. But for the next fiscal year it will be no different.

The Japanese company will from April 2018 until April 2019 be producing 25 to 30 million units of the Nintendo Switch. And this number could  even go even higher.

Even higher?

Nintendo wants to wait and see how many consoles are going over the counter the upcoming holidays. Because it seems the Nintendo Switch is selling like hotcakes and that’s not a surprise. But they just want a good idea of how things like Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas will impact those numbers.

If there is a big boost seen in sales, then there will be no choice but to produce more than the aforementioned numbers next fiscal year.

If we look at our own private circles we know plenty of people who are still looking for a Nintendo Switch. From a brief look around it seems as if a number of parties have some Nintendo Switches in stock but that could also be because people want get it with an extra discount when the holiday discounts kick in.

It is therefore not at all weird of Nintendo to wait for the outcome before commiting to even higher numbers.
