Nintendo has announced that the puzzle game Pokemon Puzzle League will be the next title to be added to the Nintendo 64 for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass subscribers.
The game first appeared on the N64 in North America in 2000, and it pits players against various trainers and gym leaders like those seen in classics Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. The gameplay of Pokemon Puzzle League is quite similar to that of Panel de Pon. The game will be available on July 15th.

Hello and welcome to Pokémon Puzzle League! Being chosen to compete in the Official Puzzle League Tournament is one of the highest honors a Pokémon Trainer can achieve. You’ll have to utilize your strongest Pokémon to fight against the top Trainers in Puzzle League Village in this completely new form of Pokémon combat. To be successful in Pokémon Puzzle League, your fingers must be quick, and your intellect must be even quicker.
True Pokémon Puzzle Masters will find several strategies for playing the game, but the main objective is to destroy puzzle pieces by matching three or more blocks of the same color. The more puzzle pieces you remove at once, the more points you’ll get. When facing another Trainer, you may launch strong assaults onto their puzzle board by completing large Combos and Skill Chains. You’re doomed if you don’t clean your stack of puzzle pieces before they reach the top of the screen.
As you go around Puzzle League Village, you’ll come across a variety of difficulties, from the exhilarating 3D Puzzle Mode to the brain-bruising workouts at Pokémon Puzzle University. Bringing a buddy along on your quest is the greatest way to enjoy Pokémon Puzzle League. Two-player heated Pokémon fights are so intense and action-packed that you may forget to breathe!
