Nintendo updated the Nintendo Switch Online service with new NES/Famicom and SNES/Super Famicom titles.
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in the west may now play Congo’s Caper, Rival Turf!, and Pinball for the SNES, as well as Pinball for the NES. Subscribers in Japan will be able to play the original Umihara Kawase on Super Famicom instead of Congo’s Caper.

Pinball is exactly what it sounds like: pinball manufactured by Nintendo. Meanwhile, Congo’s Caper is a Data East sidescrolling platformer about a monkey child exploring many exotic locales. It’s essentially a successor to Joe & Mac, which is currently accessible on NSO. Finally, Rival Turf! is a Jaleco beat ’em up that has been compared to Final Fight.
The NES and SNES libraries inside NSO are struggling with mediocre releases, with EarthBound Beginnings and EarthBound being notable exceptions.
The Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis libraries included in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, on the other hand, perform substantially better. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was the most recent addition to the N64 roster, whereas Sonic Spinball and Shining Force II were the most recent additions to the Genesis catalog.
But still more games getting added is always a good thing.
