A fresh Nintendo Direct was released by Nintendo which revealed that games for the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance systems are now playable online on the Nintendo Switch. The issue is not if more games will be added to the library in the future; rather, the question is when additional games will be added. Adding more games to the library in the future is planned.

Axios reached out
Stephen Totilo, a writer for Axios, claimed on Twitter that he questioned Nintendo about the likelihood of more titles being launched on a monthly basis. He asked Nintendo whether users of Nintendo Switch Online should anticipate new Game Boy and Game Boy Advance titles being added on a monthly basis. Answer: “While there is no predetermined timetable for future releases, each collection will continue to expand over time.”
