It’s official, the Nintendo Switch has sold more already in a year then the Wii U in its entire period of existence, at least in Japan.
Between December 2012 and December 2017, the Wii U has sold 3.3 million copies. Between March 3 and December 24 this year Nintendo Switch already reached that same number.

So this means that Nintendo Switch in the meanwhile sold more than the Wii U, which is very positive and encouraging for the further production. As in previous items we discussed Nintendo before the end of the first fiscal year wants to have pushed out 14 million units. In addition there is the recently expression for the next fiscal year of 20 million + units.
