Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Special Edition – Only in Japan from Fall 2022

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Special Edition – Only in Japan from Fall 2022

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be released sooner than expected, according to Nintendo, who also confirmed that a Special Edition of the game is in the works.

However, it seems that fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on these additional items.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Special Edition details

The contents of the Special Edition (such as the special artbook, steel case, and outer box) will only be sent out from Fall 2022 onwards, according to the My Nintendo website in Japan — not on the game’s release date. This implies that anyone who buy the Special Edition in Japan will get the solo game first when it comes on July 29, 2022, while the remainder of the Special Edition material will have to wait until until Fall 2022.

Notice on My Nintendo Japan’s website (roughly translated):

Only the software will be sent to those who have reserved the “Xenoblade 3 Collector’s Edition” on the release date (7/29) initially.

The “Xenoblade 3 Collector’s Edition” extras (the “Xenoblade 3 Nintendo Switch Card Case Steel Book,” the “Original Art Book” Xenoblade 3 Collected Works,” and the outer box) will begin shipping in the autumn of 2022.

It’s unclear if the Special Edition materials will be released in a similar fashion in the west. Let’s hope so though.
