NVIDIA Leak – More speculation about potential Nintendo Switch Pro

NVIDIA, the graphics card maker, was targeted by a big hack, resulting in a slew of leaks from the corporation, one of which is about the Nintendo Switch.

Pro Rumors

The leaks, according to dataminer NWPlayer123, include references to “nvn2,” which the dataminer thinks is a graphics api for the alleged “Switch Pro.” This is due to the fact that the graphics api for the normal Nintendo Switch is labeled “nvn,” implying that “nvn2” is a new version for an upgraded system. “nvn2” is based on Ampere, according to NWPlayer123, and contains ray tracing capabilities as well as DLSS 2.2.

The general belief is that “nvn2” alludes to some type of enhanced model of the basic Switch, whether it the Pro Model or something similar, based on statements by Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa that the Switch is still “in the middle” of its existence. More complex ideas claim that “nvn2” was initially intended for the OLED, but was delayed owing to chip constraints during manufacture of that model.

Of course, Nintendo has yet to make any type of announcement about new Nintendo Switch hardware as of this writing. We’ll be sure to let you know if any new information becomes available.
