Square Enix has had a lot to do. In teh latest Nintendo Direct, Octopath Traveler 2 was confirmed to be coming out. Nintendo says that 8 new travelers will “travel through the land of Solistia, each with their own story to tell.”
Also, there will be new parts. For instance, it has been confirmed that there will be a cycle of day and night.

This is a brand-new game in the OCTOPATH TRAVELER series. The first game in the series came out in 2018 and has sold more than 3 million copies around the world. It makes the HD-2D graphics of the series, which are a mix of retro pixel art and 3DCG, even better.
In the world of Solistia, eight new travelers set out into an exciting new era.

Familiar parts of the first game have been kept, like the ability to change the jobs and skills of your travelers and the Break and Boost system that made battles so exciting. There are also new ways to play.
On February 24, 2023, the game will come out for the Nintendo Switch.
