Omega Strikers is coming

Odyssey Interactive, an independent company that was created by former Riot Games executives, made the announcement that their free-to-play 3v3 knockout striker Omega Strikers would be arriving to Nintendo Switch on April 27, 2023. The game will first be available for download on that day.

Prior to this, Omega Strikers had an open beta for the PC version of the game in 2017. In the future, when it comes to Switch, it will provide a variety of additional aspects and features to further improve the multiplayer experience. These additions will be based on the lessons learned and the comments left by players. Cross-play and cross-progression will be enabled across several platforms, including mobile, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

About Omega Strikers

Odyssey has added a number of additional levels of growth and strategy to Omega Strikers in preparation for the game’s debut, and the company plans to continue expanding the game’s competitive experience with intensive post-launch live service programming. Now, each clash will take place over the course of three possible rounds, and participants will be given brief intervals between each round to improve their talents depending on how well they performed individually in the round before. The arenas are getting a makeover so that each one will have a different layout and environmental obstacles, such as dangers and buffs.

These arenas will need their own distinct tactics and will be filled with immersive visuals and animations to help establish the mood. A number of new gameplay features have also been added in order to enhance progression. These new gameplay features include the Striker Affinity system as well as the tactical Core Flip skill, which is a unique ability that can only be used once per match and knocks away opponents while giving you the opportunity to strike first. In addition, players can anticipate new Quick Chat capabilities, an improved visual experience both within and outside of matches, extra cosmetics that can be collected, and a great deal more when the game first releases.

Features

You get to choose the Striker you want to play as in Omega Strikers, a game that includes a crazy and ever-growing cast of colorful and unique characters known as Strikers. Odyssey has created each of the game’s 15 Strikers by hand, from the anime-inspired character art and animations to each of their unique abilities. These characters give players of all different playstyles a wide variety of choices to take into the arena with them when they compete. The game will launch with 15 Strikers.

Strategy and anarchy collide in every battle of Omega Strikers, which takes place over the course of three rounds played at lightning speed. Following each game, competitors will have the opportunity to reset their strategy and enhance their powers by selecting new options from a pool of shared resources; the order in which they choose new options will be based on how well each player performed in the previous round. Teams who cooperate well with one another, modify their own plan in response to that of their opponent, and make effective use of their skills and unique Core Flips in the midst of the moment-to-moment turmoil will emerge victorious.

Evolved Arena: Each of the arenas in Omega Strikers will not only look and feel different from one another, but they will also alter the way in which the competition is carried out. The arenas include distinctive layouts, such as back-to-back goals in the heart of the arena, as well as one-of-a-kind environmental obstacles, such as dangers and buffs, which challenge teams to adjust their plans in order to come out on top. Each arena also serves as a window into the broader story of Omega Strikers, revealing fresh information on the Strikers, their planets, and their histories.

A Manner That Is Uniquely Yours – Fans from all around the globe have shown their support for Omega Strikers’ vivid roster of Strikers, which was inspired by Odyssey’s passion for the anime culture. The Striker Affinity system allows players to acquire a variety of cosmetic things as they discover the characters with whom they have the most fun competing. These goodies include skins, emotes, symbols, and more. The development team has increased the amount of emotes, animated reactions, and evolved podium celebrations that are included in the game. Additionally, a variety of new skins have been added, additional functionality has been added to view Striker progression after matches, and a great deal more has been added to bring the characters to life and further elevate the player experience.

Spirit of Competition – Since competition is at the heart of Omega Strikers, players will be able to queue up against other players either by themselves or with their friends to participate in ranked, unranked, or custom game types when the game first launches. The launch will also include the introduction of the Rotating Goal Mode (RGM), which is a new queue designed to present all of the action-packed and over-the-top gameplay of Omega Strikers in a much more approachable manner so that players can enjoy, learn, and lean into the chaotic physics of Omega Strikers. The matches in RGM are made more exciting by the use of bigger arenas that have goals situated in a variety of various places inside them. Additionally, the core moves at a breakneck pace, and other changes increase the intensity of the competition.

Built for Multi-Console Rivalry — Omega Strikers offers complete cross-play and cross-progression compatibility on Nintendo Switch, PC, mobile devices, and additional consoles that are currently in development (details TBA). Players are able to start up just where they left off regardless of the platform they are using to compete. This includes keeping their advancement, unlocked Strikers and cosmetics, and most importantly, their position on the leaderboard.
