About BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!

The platformer takes place in the Box Planet, which is plagued with obstacles that task you with jumping, climbing, drifting, riding and warping your way past them in three different modes.

The Box Planet is plagued with obstacles, so jump, climb, drift, ride, and warp your way past them in three modes, complete with their own stories, stages, challenges, and techniques. You can even team up for a 2-player adventure starring both star-crossed boxes!

Box basics

Though they might look like simple squares, Qbby and co. have a special ability that allows them to create boxes out of thin air. When there’s an obstacle in your way, boxes can really come in handy: place one on a switch, cover a pitfall or even use it as a shield.

But that’s not all! Our heroes can even generate multiple boxes and arrange them in lots of different ways: a straight line for a makeshift bridge or a step-like formation to reach one of the collectible Crowns found in each stage – whatever your creativity chalks up! However, the number of boxes at your disposal changes depending on the stage, so try to use them resourcefully.

Hello, Box Girl!

From platforms to portals, lasers to zero gravity, plenty of surprises await you across 270 puzzle-filled stages. Good thing Qbby’s not alone – Qucy (the one with the bow) is tagging along too! Along the way, they’ll learn new techniques, such as sliding boxes forward or even slamming them into the ground! By completing their adventure, you’ll unlock more stages for their taller, rectangular friend Qudy to solve using his oblong-shaped boxes.

Meet the parents in co-op!

For the first time ever, two players can solve puzzles together in local co-op! Help Box Dad and Box Mom – who look suspiciously similar to Qbby and Qucy – to reunite the Box Baby with the others. Though many cunning contraptions stand in your way, two brainboxes are better than one in squaring off against the odds!

Fair and square

Feeling boxed in? Head to the Shop to spend the Medals earned by besting stages on Assist Items if you need a little extra help to overcome a tricky challenge. The Shop has more in-game goodies packed away too – comics, music tracks, and even a Balloon Challenge mode for those seeking more cube-filled conundrums!
