Overwatch players will have to move on from the game soon in order to get ready for its sequel, which is coming out soon.
Blizzard has confirmed that you will be able to play on the current Overwatch servers until October 2, 2022. After that date, they will shut down for good to make room for the servers for Overwatch 2. Then, on October 4, 2022, Overwatch 2 will be available for free on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.
Blizzard has also said that people who already play Overwatch will be able to upgrade to Overwatch 2 before it comes out. On October 4, 2022, new players will be able to choose to download Overwatch 2 for the first time.
