You may remember that SEGA and Nintendo revealed that Persona 5 Royal will be arriving to the Nintendo Switch back in June. For October 21st, the game is expected to be released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable are two more Persona games that will also be released on the Switch in January.
Well, in the most recent weekly edition of Famitsu, we discovered a little bit more information about the game. Although the game was first released on the PlayStation 4 a few years back, this new edition is referred to as a remaster. Even the game’s producer from Atlus, Shinji Yamamoto, uses the term.
Yamamoto said
“We’ve done some pretty precise modifications. For each model, we maximized the quantity of debris that blows away. effects, the quantity of projectiles, and other factors. The remaster’s development was overseen by SEGA (not just matching the resolution to the console). It was a very significant project. Building for several platforms is challenging. I had no idea how challenging my first porting effort would be.
