The Pokemon Company revealed some new gameplay previews from Pokemon Legends Arceus through AmazonMusicJP, as fans impatiently anticipate the game’s official release.
The clip was displayed during an official AmazonMusicJP livestream for THE REBEL’S eMPIRE, offering gamers a closer peek at the game. Notably, part of the film shows the player facing off against two wild Pokemon at the same time, officially confirming that wild double fights, similar to the S.O.S. Battles shown in Pokemon Sun and Moon, would be available in the game.

Your journey takes place in the vast natural beauty of the Hisui area, where you must study Pokémon in order to complete the region’s first Pokédex. As the protagonist of the game, you’ll encounter Professor Laventon, a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team who investigates Pokémon ecology. Soon, you’ll be joining the Galaxy Team and working as a member of the Survey Corps. Your mission will be to encounter every Pokémon species in the area!
You’ll set out from Jubilife Village to investigate one of the numerous places of the Hisui region after getting an assignment or a request and prepare for your next expedition. Certain Pokémon behaviors—or even whole species—might only be seen under certain circumstances, such as at a certain time of day or in specific types of weather. Some Pokémon are said to behave in ways that are unique to their species! While out exploring, keep an eye on your health—if you suffer too much damage from wild Pokémon attacks or falling from high locations, you’ll be unable to continue!
Battles in the Hisui area have some distinctive characteristics as well. For the first time in the series, your Pokémon may use moves that are either fast and nimble or powerful and strong. These personalities may have an impact on how many turns Pokémon may take in a row!
In the Hisui area, you may find noble Pokémon, who are exceptional Pokémon that have received a mystery blessing. These lords are especially strong, and the people of the area hold them in high regard. But now they’ve been thrown into a frenzy by some odd event. You’ll have to attack them with balms fashioned from these aristocratic Pokémon’s favorite meals to get rid of them.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Jubilife Village serves as your home base. This town has blossomed into the bustling Jubilife City in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, there are also characters who are ancestors of certain well-known faces.
