Pokemon Scarlet/Violet – Delibird and Unrivaled Cinderace Tera Raid Events

The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be participating in two forthcoming Tera Raid Events.

New Tera Raids

To begin, there will be a Delibird Spotlight Tera Raid Event starting on the 23rd of December 2022 and lasting until the 25th of December 2022. As its name suggests, this event will concentrate only on the Pokemon known as Delibird, which will participate in 1* and 5* Tera Raids with other Tera monsters of a random kind.

Following that came the announcement of a brand new 7* Tera Raid Event. Cinderace, a Fire-Type Starter found in the Galar Region, will be the centerpiece of this event, which will be a Raid with a difficulty level comparable to that of Charizard. The Mightiest Mark will be awarded to the player if they are successful in capturing a Fighting-Tera Type Cinderace throughout their adventure. This will be the sole method available in the games for obtaining Cinderace and any of its pre-evolved forms before the update that is released for Pokemon HOME.

The first iteration of this event will take place from the 30th of December 2022 until the 1st of January 2023, and the second iteration will take place from the 13th of January 2023 until the 15th of January 2023.

About Tera Raid Battles

Tera Raid Battles are the new iteration of the Raid Battles that were introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Tera Raid Battles are based on the Terastal Phenomenon, similar to how Max Raid Battles in Sword & Shield employed Dynamax as its primary mechanic.

Sparkling pillars of light may be found everywhere across Paldea, and they originate from the many different crystals that can be found in the area. If you travel to these locations, a Tera Raid Battle will immediately begin. You may perform them by yourself or with a group of pals. In the course of the Tera Raid Battles, you can come across Pokémon of a kind that is not often associated with them. Due to the fact that they are done with friends, other players are able to engage in Tera Raid Battles and catch them regardless of the game they are currently playing. This is despite the fact that certain Tera Raid Battles are accessible natively only in one game, matching the Version Exclusives. The amount of hit points that a Raid Monster may have is determined by a multiplier that varies depending on the level of the boss.

In contrast to Pokémon Sword & Shield, the Tera Raid Battles do not take place in predetermined areas, and the kind of raid you face is not dependent on where you are. Instead, their locations throughout the area are chosen at chance, and the Tera Types of the Pokémon they encounter are likewise chosen at random. When you have finished using them up and the day has passed into the following day, they will be reset. You will unlock more difficult star raids as you make progress through the game.
