Pokemon Scarlet/Violet DLC – The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero

The Pokémon Company made the announcement on Pokémon Day, during a special Pokémon Presents video presentation that was streamed online to fans all over the world.

The presentation’s main purpose was showcasing new downloadable content that will be available for the smash-hit video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. In the first three days after their worldwide launch on November 18, 2022, global sales of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet for the Nintendo Switch family of systems surpassed 10 million combined units. This represents the highest global sales for any software on any Nintendo platform during that timeframe.

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet DLC

Part 1 of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, titled The Teal Mask, will be available for purchase in the fall of 2023, and Part 2 of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, titled The Indigo Disk, will be made available at a later date. Both parts of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will immerse players further into the world of Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. The Secret Treasure of Area Zero is now available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop for fans.

“We are very delighted that millions of Trainers across the globe have decided to explore the enormous Paldea area,” said Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company. “Paldea has so much to offer,” added Ishihara. “We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.” “Fans will go on an adventure to the land of Kitakami in The Secret Treasure of Area Zero, where they will meet exciting new people and new Pokémon. Throughout their time there, they will also encounter new Pokémon. I have a deep and honest wish that Trainers who begin on this new adventure feel the same thrill and delight that they had when they met their very first Pokémon.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero

In order to continue their journey in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, players may make use of their previously saved game data from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. Players will no longer be in the area of Paldea, which served as the backdrop for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, when they access this new downloadable content. In the first chapter of the series, titled “The Teal Mask,” players will go on a field trip to the country of Kitakami. There, they will participate in an outdoor education program that is co-hosted by their own academy and another school. In Part 2: The Indigo Disk, players will take on the role of exchange students and go to Blueberry Academy, a school that is related to their own academy and known as its sister school.

Despite the fact that this narrative is broken up into two sections, the two of them combined form one continuous storyline.

The Teal Mask

In the first episode, “The Teal Mask,” some of the participants will be selected to go on a field trip with their school that is organized annually in conjunction with another institution. They will be transported to the region of Kitakami, which is dominated by a massive mountain in its center, and the people who live there make their homes at the foot of the mountain. Rice paddies and apple orchards may be found in this location, which is known for its peaceful natural landscapes. The excursion seems to have coincided with a festival that is traditionally staged in the hamlet in Kitakami around this time of year, which explains why the town is so lively with a wide variety of street sellers and booths. As players go through the game and uncover the secrets that lie behind the folktales that have been handed down in this area, they will meet new friends and Pokémon.

Lots of more Pokemon

Players will have the opportunity to battle over 230 previously unseen Pokémon in Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk. These Pokémon were discovered to be living in other regions, but they did not make an appearance in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Part 1: The Teal Mask will be released on November 17, 2018. Part 2: The Indigo Disk will be released on December 20, 2018. This includes Pokémon that players will be able to bring into their games by using Pokémon HOME, as well as Pokémon that they have obtained via trading. In Part 1: The Teal Mask, players will come across Ogerpon, while in Part 2: The Indigo Disk, they will come across Terapagos. Both of these Pokémon are Legendary. Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti are all Pokémon who make an appearance in the first chapter, titled “The Teal Mask.” They are revered by the residents of the village because in the past they were heroes who defended the land of Kitakami, and stone statues have been created in their image to convey the thanks of the hamlet’s inhabitants.
