Pokken Tournament DX not at Pokemon World Championship 2022

The Pokemon World Championship will no longer include the Pokemon fighting game Pokken Tournament DX for the Nintendo Switch in the future, according to the official Play Pokemon account.

Pokken Tournament debuted on Nintendo’s ill-fated Wii U platform before making its way to the Nintendo Switch. It had more playable Pokemon than the Wii U game, including the addition of Decidueye, as well as Team Battle mode and improved handling. The Pokken Tournament community and supporters have been recognized by the Play Pokemon account for “making fantastic experiences and memories with us throughout the years.”

The Pokemon Company and Bandai Namco have yet to announce a new game in the franchise.
