From the writer of the Zero Escape trilogy!
Spike Chunsoft has unveiled the necessary games at Anime Expo. That included the leased ‘Project Psync’. Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi has given the title and various details.
About Project Psync
Project Psync now goes through life as AI: The Somnium Files. In the game you have to figure out the mystery of a series of murders. There are also some details of the new game from Uchikoshi.
The game is set in Tokyo where some places already have better technology than the current Tokyo. The game starts with a bizarre murder: the left eye is carved out of the head. You crawl into the skin of Date, a detective who wants to track down the serial killer. His left eye is a so-called ‘AI’ eye, or an artificial intelligence eye, which helps him to solve the murders.
Once Date has found a witness or suspect, he can go into their memories to find clues. In the title AI will be pronounced as the English ‘eye’. The eye is central to the game. Ai also means love in Japanese, which is also a theme of the game.
Next to Date there is another main character unveiled: Iris. She is an eighteen-year-old student and is also a well-known YouTuber. Her videos often go viral including her Let’s Plays.
The designer of the Character designs is Yusuke Kozaki. He is known for such things as Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates, No More Heroes 1 & 2 and the Pokemon GO trainers.
