About Pronty: Fishy Adventure

You’ll take on the role of Pronty, a “genetically engineered monster with both aquatic and human qualities.” The ultimate aim is to save Royla, the City of the Deep, from destruction and to solve several mysteries. It’s all done in a “colorful, crisp line art style to reflect the fascinating undersea environment,” according to the press release.

In terms of gameplay, players will use their trusty companion Bront the Javelin to explore the aquatic environment (the makers claim there are a hundred levels), mix powers and upgrades using the “Memory Board,” and more. They’ll also have to fight aquatic monsters that have evolved as a result of pollution by using their javelin companion to repel foes, eliminate obstructions, and defend themselves. There are almost 40 distinct mutant creatures in the game, as well as 13 different bosses.

Story

“Pronty” is an underwater Metroidvania game set in the once-thriving undersea metropolis of “Royla,” which is now overrun with hazardous monsters, marine life, and toxic garbage. Players will battle as the strangely charming “Pronty” and its robotic weapon/friend swordfish against numerous creatures and even some Behemoth to restore hope to this abandoned city and learn the truth about Pronty’s origins.

Features

  • The “underwater javelin” fighting system is a one-of-a-kind combat mechanism.
  • To repel adversaries, eliminate barriers, or defend yourself, use your javelin partner’s remote control.
  • A scary swarm of angry and deformed marine creatures
  • Meet a horrible fusion of sea invertebrates and marine trash that has resulted in all types of monsters. While some may seem to be little and entertaining, others may offer a greater threat. After all, there’s always the possibility of catching a larger fish…
  • Upgrades may be swapped out for a more personalised battle experience.
  • In Pronty’s “Memory Board,” swap out valuable skills and upgrades to create tactics that work in every environment and play style.
  • Explore this beautiful yet dangerous underwater metropolis.
  • The strange underwater environment was shown with a vivid, crisp line art style, creating a delightfully scary mood.
  • Underwater settings that are both beautiful and immersive
  • The sound design firm IMBA interactive created a realistic underwater atmosphere and the greatest fight combat experience, while 18light game composer Paul Su’s soundtrack from his previous work “Behind the Screen” accompanies players on their adventure.

Pronty: Fishy Adventure will be available for Nintendo Switch through the eShop — a release date will be announced later.
