Publisher Axiom Verge helping son of developer

Axiom Verge is seen by many as the ultimate love letter to Super Metroid. The game itself is very good, but the most remarkable thing is that the game is made by only one person: Thomas Happ.

Unfortunately, in his personal life things are not so good with him. His son named Alastair, is in fact very ill. He was born healthy, but the boy suffered neurological damage caused by a fault of the hospital.

This disallows him to hear anything. The man behind Axiom Verge now therefore has to pay high hospital bills, and they won’t stop anytime soon it seems.

The game Happ created will soon be physically issued by Badland Games and they have offered a helping hand. They are giving 75 percent of what they earn through Axiom Verge to a fund in the name of Happ’s son.

It was not intended that this would be announced publicly, but Thomas wanted to let know that he is very pleased with this generous gift and that nothing but the best can be said in regard tgat some publishers are not purely focused on money.

Gaming is passion

It warms our heart to see what Badland Games is doing for Thomas, we are also happy that we are acutally getting the physical edition and we thus indirectly are also doing something for such an unpleasant situation.

Axiom Verge is an instant buy, but this makes it even a better deal.
Please if you like Axiom Verge in any way help Thomas with a purchase!
