It seems North American retailer Best Buy jumped the gun far too early this week when they mentioned on their Nintendo Switch product page that Netflix and YouTube are available on the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime says conversations with the two companies are still on-going, which makes it sound like they are a long way off to having a completed app for both services.

When we launched the Switch, we were very clear we wanted to position the device as a game-playing device. We’ve done that, and so you’ve seen Hulu for example come on to the platform. In terms of other services, the conversations are on-going. We’ve got nothing to announce right now. But certainly those opportunities will come in due time.
While personally we are not anticipating a release of Netflix or Youtube for the Nintendo Switch it’s weird to see that a year in we do not have it as an option. We are not even mentioning a browser … but atleast that would be something we would be looking forward to more.
