Resident Evil 7: Cloud Version announced

Capcom has announced via a trailer that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, under the name Resident Evil 7: Cloud Version, gets a port on the Nintendo Switch.

You do not download the game, but stream everything via the Capcom server. This port is still exclusively for Japan (also contains only Japanese votes and texts) and will appear there on 24 May.

More about Resident Evil 7: Cloud Version

Resident Evil 7: Cloud version in addition to the full game, also includes all previously released DLC. It is also blessed with a special payment system: the first quarter is free to play, but then you pay 2000 yen (roughly € 15, -) for 180 days.

You need an internet connection at all times in order to play.

In the game you take control of Ethan Winters. One day, he suddenly receives a message from his wife … whom he had considered dead for three years. He reports him to a gigantic country house, ‘Baker House’.

It is up to you to find and to open up your wife what has happened in this seemingly deserted house. Unlike previous Resident Evil parts, this is not accompanied by a lot of action, but the focus is on exploration, tension and horror elements.

EU? US?

For the time being, Resident Evil 7: Cloud Version has only been announced for the Japanese market. It can be played there from 24 May. It is not known whether it will also get a Western release.

Streaming?

It can be a godsend, but we are not fans of a service where the game is not your possession. Digital / physical omitted, a stream not equal to a copy of your game. We will look at how the response will be in Japan.
