About Rise of the Third Power

Rise of the Third Power is a retro-style console role-playing game partially based on Europe’s political situation in the late 1930s. The tale is set in Rin’s homeland during the Golden Age of Sail, and it follows the events that led to the greatest battle in human history.

Features

STORY DRIVEN – Join a group of eight people, each with their own goals, viewpoints, and personalities, as they embark on a suicide mission to overthrow the Arkadyan emperor, Dimitri Noraskov. Players will experience a mix of comedy, drama, and tragedy as they traverse Rin’s perilous environment.

POLITICAL INTRIGUE — As Rin’s planet heals from the Great War, the power balance remains skewed, with power vacuums that have yet to be filled. Schemers, liars, and betrayers will besiege and help the player’s team, all while the clock ticks down to a re-enactment of the greatest conflict in human history.

CUSTOM Fighting SYSTEM – Rise of the Third Power has eight playable characters in a battle system created from the ground up, each with their unique set of strengths and weaknesses, and all of them are designed to fight alongside one another without the need for laborious party management. Combine each character’s distinct talents and drawbacks, research your opponents’ abilities, construct your formation, and rush into combat.

PERSISTENT EQUIPMENT — Each piece of equipment discovered, acquired, or stolen for each character is a permanent, one-of-a-kind enhancement. Rather of buying replacements, the player invests on improvements. No more purchasing that fantastic helmet in town just to find a better one as a dungeon prize. Each character has three equipment slots, each with eight improvements, for a total of 192 upgrades to locate. This technique eliminates the tedium of inventory management while simultaneously providing something helpful for the completionist to look for.

The Nintendo Switch eShop has Rise of the Third Power available. There are language choices in both English and Japanese.
