A definite release date for Rytmos, a musical rhythm game, was announced by Floppy Club. Beginning on February 28, 2023, the game will be accessible on the Nintendo Switch.
For Rytmos, this constitutes a delay. The game was initially scheduled for Q4 2022 when it was first announced for Switch back in June. Fortunately, the delay won’t last too long.
About Rytmos
In Rytmos, a music game unlike any other, players may compose their own tunes using a variety of unlocked instruments and modifiers while also solving puzzles with a musical theme.
Every planet the player visits in this game, which is situated in space, has a series of six line puzzles to complete. To create a musical loop in each of these problems, players must go past sound emitters before going back to the beginning. The soundtrack of the game is growing as new layers are added with each loop, creating live musical compositions dependent on the player’s actions. Players that advance through each cubic cosmos have the opportunity to learn how to perform music. The in-game soundtracks may be jammed to using instruments like the kalimba, vibraphone, and even vintage 1980s synthesizers, as well as to create original songs. When finished, Rytmos transforms into a fully complete music creator with the potential to create intricate musical compositions, rather than simply a straightforward puzzle game.
In order to celebrate global music, inspire and educate people about music’s past and provide a better knowledge of how music is made, Floppy Club created Rytmos. As a result, Rytmos draws musical inspiration from a diverse range of completely international sources. Players will come across a variety of unique solar systems on their journey through space, drawing influence from a variety of musical genres, like the 8-bit music craze of the 1980s and Ethiopian jazz from the 1960s. Rytmos delivers a contemplative experience with an emphasis on low-tempo soothing gameplay that attempts to encourage and urge players to listen to different music and genres.
