Telltale’s second season of episodic Sam & Max games has been meticulously updated by a small team of the original creators, resulting in Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space. Sam is a six-foot canine investigator with a keen sense of right and wrong. Max is a ferocious bunny with a penchant for mayhem. They’re the Freelance Police, an irreverent comedic pair whose unique crime-fighting technique has enthralled comic book and video game enthusiasts for almost three decades.
Sam and Max are back on the criminal beat in this five-episode compilation of interrelated crimes, including a clash with Santa Claus, a race to contain a massive volcano, and a confrontation with a Eurotrash vampire. Then things become more stranger.
Is Bosco, the paranoid shopkeeper, correct in his claims of a massive conspiracy? Is Stinky, the owner of a cafe, concealing the truth about what happened to her grandpa (who was also called Stinky)? Will Sybil Pandemik, the snobby neighbor, ever discover true love? BIRTHDAY?! Did someone say it?
Take a ride in the DeSoto for a hilarious adventure that won IGN’s Adventure Game of the Year award the first time around and now looks and sounds better than ever with gorgeous HD graphics, overhauled lighting and lip-sync, fine-tuned cinematography, remastered audio, and eight all-new musical tracks featuring live jazz musicians.
