Skullgirls 2nd Encore – Massive update + Season 1 Pass in January

The development team behind Skullgirls 2nd Encore for Nintendo Switch has revealed that a significant content update as well as the launch of the game’s Season 1 Pass are on the docket for the month of January.

Update + Season Pass 1

After installing the update, players using Nintendo Switch will experience the same level of gameplay as those using other platforms. It will take the place of the version that came before it “with nearly a complete rewriting of the port’s codebase, resolving various flaws that were peculiar to that version.” Players may anticipate improved load speeds that are more than twice as quick as before, improved performance, a more refined user interface, and more seamless online gaming.

Regarding the Season 1 Pass, it includes a number of characters as well as several benefits. It contains characters such as Annie of the Stars, Umbrella, and Black Dahlia, in addition to a character who will not be revealed until 2022. In addition to this, the Season Pass Exclusive Palette Pack, the original soundtrack (which now includes Annie’s new tune), and the Skullgirls Digital Art Compendium are all included (updated).

It is important to note that Black Dahlia will not be accessible on Switch just yet; however, she will become playable on Switch around the same time as she becomes available on PS4. The beginning of the year 2023 is a good estimate for when this will take place, but we will provide a more precise date in the near future.

On January 3, 2023, Skullgirls 2nd Encore for Nintendo Switch will get a significant upgrade along with the Season 1 Pass becoming online.
