About Sonic Frontiers

Let’s do something else, let’s do a mini personal reviews;

Sonic Team invested a lot of time and attention creating the Frontiers Nintendo Switch version. While the game runs at 720p and 30 frames per second, it still looks and plays like the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions. There are problems like Pop-in, which isn’t only limited to Nintendo Switch, but affects all versions of the game, so perhaps they can address that.

Considering the hardware restrictions, I’m even pleased with what they did with the Nintendo Switch port.

It’s also quick and fluid in terms of gameplay and mechanics. While the controls are a little quirky at first, you’ll get the hang of them as you play the game. Sonic’s new attacks and maneuvers were clearly inspired by other games, which isn’t always a negative thing. This provides the game a new formula that is unique to the series as well as new and veteran gamers.

The tale was nicely written, the music was well constructed, and the world’s ambience felt lovely and restful while keeping your guard up for any attackers. There is still much space for improvement in Sonic Team’s next release, but this is an example of them responding to input.

Overall, Sonic Team learnt from their prior games’ faults and developed what I consider a masterpiece.
