Nintendo fans might be able to save on Sonic titles in the near future! Amazon listed a physical release for Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double Pack.
The listing notes a release date of 26 October 2020. From the look of the package (i.e. a single Nintendo Switch case), it appears that it might contain both games on a single cartridge – although SEGA has not confirmed this as of yet so we can not be absolutely sure.
But why?
Both titles, Sonic Mania and Team Sonic Racing, are already available physically and digitally. So why would you want to offer a double pack. Well the obvious reason is offering the games for a cheaper price. But also … are these games not selling enough?
Sonic Mania is a must own for every fan of Sonic which owns a Nintendo Switch. Team Sonic Racing is ok, but nothing that great.
In the past listings also came up combining Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces. Ahh well Sonic Forces … you should right out avoid, it is that crappy of a title.
So yeah it might be a nice thing for the holiday but for the collector’s I would still advice to get them on single carts.
