Souldiers on Nintendo Switch just got a new update, version 1.06.28856. in which players will find a lot of changes, fixes, and ways to make things better.

The team has made Nintendo Switch load times faster, made improvements to quality of life, rebalanced, and more.

  • Changes for consoles:
    • The Nintendo Switch now loads faster.
    • Minor problems with the way things look have been fixed.
    • Changed how sensitive the joystick was.
    • After Melian missed a fan in the Sunken Laboratory, the game got stuck.
    • FPS drops have been fixed in the Fire Temple.
  • Quality of Life improvements
    • Retry now takes less time to load.
    • The Options Video menu now lets you choose the resolution.
    • There are now new save statues and checkpoints in the Spider Lair, Floating Module, Fire Temple, Forest of Fyr, Sunken Laboratory, Tempes Plains, Great Pyramid, and Hafin Sewers.
    • If an archer’s arrow hits a far target, it does less damage instead of missing.
    • On retry, heal up to a certain percent of HP, depending on the level of difficulty (100 percent in Easy, 50 percent in Medium and Hard).
    • Make it faster to push or pull rocks.
    • When you get a skill sphere, your mana bar fills up again, so you can test your skills.
    • Warm necklace can now protect you from high temperatures without having to be worn. It also has more effects.
    • During the Great Pyramid arc, the restriction on teleporter confinement has been removed.
    • To avoid confusion, the statue checkpoint menu appears automatically after the first time it is used.
    • When a camera is pointed at the Great Pyramid, the secret spinning doors are now marked on the map, so there’s no need to go in. The ones you’ve been to are marked differently to make things clearer.
    • Marked where the open globus doors of the Great Pyramid are on the map.
  • Fixes 
    • Wizards no longer lose mana when blocking or rolling during the start-up animation of a skill.
    • Wings were moved in the battle with Sangrigor.
    • It was a little bit possible to see maps from other zones in the Great Pyramid and the Forest of Fyr.
    • Don’t let the difficulty change on New Game+.
    • Fixed the Euder race being sometimes in a state where it can’t be beaten.
    • Fixed a big cauldron room in the Fire Temple that led to a void room below if you went back after the section where the lava rose.
    • When Melian is in a Sunken Laboratory scene, she sometimes misses a wind switch and gets stuck. This has been fixed.
    • Fix for project 0.5 combat not always ending (right door keeps open).
    • Some background sounds now have a fixed volume.
    • After failing the Coliseum side quest and going back to the main quest, the next scene would never finish loading.
    • When a player died in slime form, their collision size was wrong during their death animation.
    • The rotation of the pig bombs was sometimes off.
    • Archer Skirmish no longer didn’t work with Nomad Thieves and Battos that were hidden.
    • Archer Skirmish arrows would sometimes get stuck and not move again.
    • Some props and game elements were sometimes missing.
    • Fixed the fact that the cost of Scout Parry was way too high.
    • Galath’s blue grenades didn’t explode when they hit other grenades, and they didn’t do damage to stamina when they were deflected correctly. This has been fixed.
    • Fixed the Panacea item not being able to cure “Paralyzed.”
    • Some of the fixed crusher blocks and electric coils stay frozen.
    • After trying again, the Altera Punisher no longer missed the player.
    • Fixed pressure jets in the Sunken Laboratory not having any effect on pig bombs.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the game to freeze if a player leveled up after being killed before hitting the ground.
    • The geysers in the Spider Lair no longer hurt the player when they are dead or in a cutscene.
    • Fixed a bug that let the Wizard save a soldier who was stuck in the Spider Lair before the quest started.
    • Fixed a chest in the Great Pyramid that was falling.
    • Ultra-wide camera resolutions that can’t be changed.
    • Dark Sword can now be reached without crossing the bridge.
    • Fixed Sunken Laboratory’s vertical streams not showing up, which stopped the player from moving forward.
    • Sunken Laboratory: Fixed softlock when Melian sometimes misses a wind fan in the maze scenes
    • The player can’t move forward in the Fire Temple because of fixed FPS drops.
  • Rebalance
    • All difficulties have a general decrease in the health and damage of enemies.
    • Changed how much shards weapons cost.
    • The time it takes to roll again has been shortened.
    • Player can now turn and crouch faster
    • Increased the rate at which players’ stamina is restored.
    • Added more time to find perfect blocks (reflecting blue attacks).
    • Archer and Wizard should start with the same amount of HP as Scout.
    • All classes’ skills now cost less mana.
    • Scout attacks from the air now do more damage over a wider area.
    • Archer arrows now hit more targets when they attack.
    • The Archer Skirmish attack is now easier to use because it takes longer to notice.
    • For each increase in the Archer’s number of arrows, the number of levels has gone down.
    • Archer’s bow now does more damage.
    • Increase the range and damage of the Wizard’s “homing” ability.
    • The Wizard’s “Vital sproutling” skill now has a larger range and lasts longer.
    • Wizards now get their mana back faster.
    • Wizard clones now cost less mana to blow up.
    • The attacks of the Wizard Spellweaver now cost less mana.
    • Increase the damage done by Ionic Nail when it bounces back (reflected Altera Marauder attack)
    • Drones now move faster and can find players farther away.
    • HP was restored by a better healing potion.
    • Restorer potion now gives back more mana and stamina.
    • Sunken Laboratory’s hard jumps have been fixed.
    • Added more healing power to necklaces.
    • The Regeneration vial now works better.
    • Price changes in the map shop.
    • Blocking a lift in the Great Pyramid to show the player how to reach the yellow globus.
    • Added more time to solve the torch puzzle in Spider Lair.
    • Changed how long you have to wait for some electric coils in the Floating Module.
    • Changed the speed of the turrets and got rid of the traps in Great Pyramid.
    • No longer do the torches in the Fire Temple go out on their own.
    • Monsters now drop more money when they die.
    • Changed how bosses and midbosses are weak to certain elements.
    • Most enemies now take less damage to their stamina (shield).
    • Les attacks from common enemies are less likely to hurt you.
    • Harpy, Gargoyle, Storm Raven, Altera Marauder, Hipicus, and Scarab can now fly closer to the player.
    • Harpy, Scarab, Storm Raven, Altera Marauder, Sand Slime, Electric Slime, Hipicus, and Gargoyle now take longer to attack.
    • Attack boxes were decreased in Altera Punisher’s attack, Dark Razor’s combo, and his jump attack.
    • The damage area of Babylon’s wheel and Beigon’s cut attack has been cut down.
    • Attacks from Aguinox no longer stun.
    • When I beat Birk, I got some more gold.
    • Hipicus’ ability to reduce damage while firing has been taken away, and its invulnerability has been changed to elemental resistance.
    • Changed Kyut’s armor to give him elemental resistance instead of making him invulnerable.
    • Scarabs are no longer immune to damage.
    • Changed how far Golems can throw things.
    • Changed where some enemies can be hit (Altera Marauder, Mothena, Gargoyle, Pyramancer, Altera Punisher, Storm Raven, Avalerion, Dark Claw, Beastaurus, Guardian of Anubis)
    • The Enchanter now has to wait longer between summoning minions, and he or she can’t summon as many at once.
    • Galath’s grab attack box has been shrunk.
    • Gargoyle now takes longer to move after landing.
    • Items with more HP that Lion Tree drops.
    • The Minotaur’s direct axe attack now takes longer to start up.
    • The Storm Raven and Electric Slimes’ electrified areas now last less time.
    • Changed how the enemies act in one of the Fire Temple’s enclosed fights.
    • Some flying enemies in Tempest Plains and Spider Lair have been taken away.
    • We took away some of the ledges in the torch puzzle in Spider Lair.
    • Two rounds were taken out of the Tempest Mines challenge.
    • Salamanders were taken out of Fire Temple.
  • Other alterations:
    • Added support for Traditional Chinese.
    • After Brigard and Beigon fight, restore health.
    • Wizard’s healing tree skill now looks bigger to better fit the healing zone.
    • Time no longer stops when a good attack hits.
    • We added more switches to Pig Bomb’s contact area to improve feedback.
    • Changed the sand platforms in Royal Scorpion battles to make them easier to see.
    • In Floating Module, turrets that track players don’t fire if the player is out of view of the camera.
    • Everyone who plays Souldiers on Switch can now download the new 1.06.28856 update.
