Thunder Lotus released a new update for Spiritfarer, version 1.14. It includes a slew of repairs, tweaks, and localization enhancements.

Fixes

  • If you stop during the Mind Palace event, you will no longer see a black screen.
  • Alice can now identify the Beach suit.
  • Even when the player edits a single piece, the wardrobe now retains the settings for a whole outfit.
  • When the opposing player initiates the dialogue inside Gwen’s home, Stella and Daffodil are transferred to Jackie.
  • After meeting a turtle sibling, the boat is now correctly proceeding to its target.
  • Sleeping in Stella’s cabin while Stanley is in front of the bed no longer results in a loss of functionality.
  • Interacting with Stanley within Stella’s cabin no longer sends Daffodil beyond the world’s bounds.
  • Sitting on a chair while the boat approaches the Everdoor causes no loss of functionality.
  • The in-game clock in the game no longer refreshes after 24 hours.
  • Stella’s arm now fishes with correct illumination.
  • The Everlight now correctly appears during the Loom and Woodcutting Minigames.
  • The Touchpad Icon now shows correctly in the rebind menus.
  • When scrolling up from the Restore Default option, the Control Rebinding screen no longer skips two settings.
  • If your co-op partner quits fishing, the tuna fishing soundtrack will no longer cease.
  • When Beverly is embraced in ghost form, she is no longer hidden under Stella’s bonnet.
  • Daffodil no longer loses functionality upon meeting the turtle sisters for the first time in local co-op.
  • Stella and Daffodil can no longer stand on Stella’s Cabin’s unseen platform.
  • The quest “The Real Spiritfarer” now correctly subtracts a Lightbulb from your inventory rather than adding one.
  • Daffodil no longer falls through the floor at several moments during the game.
  • The sound effect no longer disappears while zipping back and forth on the zipline.
  • When Stella’s bouncing animation is used on the umbrellas in Overbrook, it no longer stutters.
  • If the kitchen is positioned in a precise spot underneath his home, Atul will no longer be caught in a loop of departing and entering his house.
  • The wind motion from Bottom Line Corp’s central chimney no longer stops suddenly.
  • Watering crops repeatedly no longer skips Stella’s water animation.
  • Stella is no longer entangled in the surroundings as she uses the zipline at Hoseki Quarry.
  • Daria’s symbol no longer appears early in the Save Menu while saving/quitting during the House Call mission.
  • During the Mind Palace event, Daria now plays her instrument correctly.
  • During the Hades events, Daffodil can no longer engage with the butterflies.
  • During their last talk on the way to the Everdoor, Mickey no longer suddenly returns to Bruce’s mind.
  • Mickey no longer vanishes prematurely during Bruce and Mickey’s Everdoor animation.
  • Denizen lost at sea now recognizes your presence.
  • Turtles no longer vanish while they sleep.
  • Daffodil no longer teleports upon the discharge of a Spirit.
  • Going to sleep no longer causes the game to crash.
  • During Edit mode, the ground within the Field no longer looks upside down.
  • Sheep now have good wool.
  • Parts of the map that have been explored no longer vanish when the map is reloaded.
  • You will not be trapped in the game’s beginning scene anymore.
  • Alice’s journey is no longer broken, and she will hand up her obol.
  • In the “Report a problem” menu, the ESC/Back buttons now operate.
  • It is no longer possible to lose functionality by remapping the menu navigation buttons to the DualShock touchpad and then relaunching the game.
  • If you remove a save without first loading a saved game, your progress and boat will no longer combine.
  • Hugging Daffodil close to a wall in Gwen’s home will no longer lead Stella to fall through and get trapped.
  • Hugging Daffodil at a certain location in Overbrook’s hospital will no longer lead Stella to fade into the background.
  • Players will no longer need to readjust from interactable items (ore, trees, etc.) after the first time they interact with them.
  • Nordweiller’s map tooltip now displays three chests rather than the intended two.
  • During the Everdoor scenario, Stella and Daffodil are finally appropriately compelled to row the tender.
  • Exiting the Blueprint Station no longer causes the game to crash.
  • Sleeping near the Everdoor while the ghosts are aboard no longer results in a dark screen.
  • When loading a save file that has finished Stella’s Last Voyage, a crash no longer happens.
  • Closing the game during Jackie & Daria’s mission, when Jackie rushes into Daria’s residence, will no longer fully disrupt the flow of the quest.
  • When transferring buildings to a higher height, spirits can no longer be hurled off the boat.
  • After starting a New Game, skipping the opening too fast no longer creates graphics difficulties.
  • Returning to the game rapidly no longer displays the map upside down for a few seconds.
  • Acetates now show their contents appropriately in the projection room.
  • When playing in Japanese, Korean, Simplified, or Traditional Chinese, the text on the Main Menu will show correctly in your selected language.
  • The padlock unlocking animation has been restored.
  • When you disconnect your controller while in a menu, the Controller Assign Screen no longer overlaps with the current menu.

Switch:

  • Switch’s major performance and stability concerns have been resolved.
  • In co-op, the grip mode of the Joycons no longer swaps the Interact and Cancel buttons.
  • After his unveiling, Jackie will no longer be in low resolution while chatting to him for the first time on an island.
  • During Gwen’s Last Voyage, the water will no longer show in Low Resolution.
  • Daffodil’s eyes and ears will stop blinking.
  • When using a Left Joycon, several station buttons were difficult to read.
  • Astrid’s fan is no longer able to cut through barriers.
  • Buck’s event prompt will no longer be cut off by the screen’s edge.
  • Stella’s unnecessary animation frame while sprinting towards Lily has been eliminated.
  • When welcome Giovanni to the boat, Astrid will no longer get entangled on a ladder.

Localization:

  • The mood benefit for eating a dish that spirits appreciate is no longer mistranslated to food that spirits despise in Portuguese.
  • Summer no longer states in Simplified Chinese that she is not hungry when she rejects a hug.
  • Jackie’s Torn Letter and Crumpled Letter both had untranslated sentences in Russian, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.
  • At the beginning of the game, there is no longer a mistake in Charon’s conversation.
  • When viewing letters in Russian, the button icons and content no longer overrun the UI.
  • Several food items on the recipe list included text that spilled in Russian.
  • In various languages, the denizen name in the Quest Log for “Perimeter Sweep” was untranslated.
  • After finishing his mission at Overbrook in many languages, Doctor received an untranslated speech bubble.
  • Southpoint Docks residents were not translated into numerous languages.
  • Gwen will no longer state a precise time to wake her up in Korean instead of in the morning.
  • Text to confirm an event will no longer overlap with the Simplified Chinese Yes/No alternatives.
  • In Russian language, a pop-up message on Jackie’s home upgrades featured an inappropriate line break.
  • When discussing Daria in the Archive Room Filing Cabinet, the Russian text field overflowed.
  • When you initially open the game in Japanese, Korean, Simplified, or Traditional Chinese, the text on the Main Menu now shows correctly.
