Splatoon 2 – version 5.5.1 patch notes

Splatoon 2’s latest update, version 5.5.1, has gone live, albeit it’s true that it’s not all that thrilling. “Several bugs have been corrected to enhance the gaming experience,” according to Nintendo’s patch notes.

Version 5.5.1 patch notes

Even though it’s not very substantial, it’s Splatoon’s first update in more than a year. There were several modifications in the last patch, version 5.5.0, including alterations to the weapons.

There may be more minute backend adjustments to Splatoon 2 that are not listed in the patch notes for the 5.5.1 version. Dataminers will probably be looking more closely, and if we learn anything noteworthy, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Splatoon 3 is the new fresh

Splatoon 3 is, of course, Nintendo’s current main priority. A special Splatfest in honor of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet recently ended in the game, and the Chill Season 2022 was announced earlier today. The new Chill Season will contain new game types, such as Big Run and X Battles, as well as new courses, gear, and win emotes.
