According to Nintendo, a brand-new Splatfest with the theme “your favorite flavor of chocolate” will take place in Splatoon 3 the following month.
The three teams available to players are Team Milk Chocolate, Team White Chocolate, and Team Dark Chocolate. Here in Europe, the festival begins on February 11 and 13 and is expected to be a treat.

Ink up the Splatlands!
Enter the Splatlands, a scorched desert home to Inklings and Octolings with a history of combat. This dusty wasteland’s adrenaline-fueled center lies Splatsville, the city of anarchy.
Even in this barren setting, Turf War rules supreme, as combat take place in brand-new stages scattered across the surrounding wilderness.
Along with a new ink-slinging weapon in the style of a bow, these fighters’ dynamic new maneuvers enable them to avoid assaults and cover more territory.
Features:
enhanced Turf War gameplay: Turf War is obviously the people’ favorite activity in a town named Splatsville. In a three-minute race, two four-person teams fight to mark the most territory on the map. New moves have been added, such as the Squid Roll, which enables players to leap out of ink while twisting around, and the Squid Surge, which allows swimmers to swim up walls in a single burst. While performing the move, a player’s character glows and deflects ink from opponents.
The Turf War engagements will take place in a range of exotic settings, both new and old. Stages including Eeltail Alley, Scorch Gorge, Mincemeat Metalworks, and Undertow Spillway are exclusive to the Splatlands. Additionally, there is the brand-new Hagglefish Market, a pier that is overflowing with lively street sellers. Additionally, some stages from Greater Inkopolis are back, including Mahi-Mahi Resort, Hammerhead Bridge, and the Museum of Alfonsino. At launch, 12 stages—including those seen in the video presentation—wait. Free upgrades after debut will include the addition of more stages.
The trio of Deep Cut Anarchy Splatcast, a popular news show from Splatville, is hosted by the band Deep Cut. In addition to other news items, they provide details on the current fight stages. These updates may now, for the first time in the series, be read while moving about Splatville.
Return of Splatfests: In these contests, participants choose one of three options within a predetermined topic by casting their vote. Based on that decision, they represent the team, and the winner is determined by combat over a certain amount of time. Splatfests will have two parts, with the first half featuring 4-v-4 Turf War matches amongst the three teams. The brand-new Tricolor Turf War engagements, a new mode where three teams engage in combat simultaneously, are included in the second half. Can the winning team hold up in this unusual 4-v-2-v-2 match format?
The primary weaponry of the Splatlands: Splatoon 3 will launch with access to every primary weapon type from the first game. The Tri-Stringer, which resembles a bow and can shoot in three directions at once, has also been introduced. It fires charged bullets that temporarily freeze before exploding. By swinging, the Splatana Wiper creates centrifugal force that launches ink blades into the air. It will become a charged slash if swung after charging.
Special Weaponry: After inking enough soil, players may unleash special types of weapons, and Splatoon 3 introduces several brand-new and distinctive special weapons. These include the Tacticooler, which when used causes a refrigerator to emerge with drinks that help the team’s stats. The Wave Breaker also releases sound waves in the vicinity. A shark-shaped ink-driven float called the Reefslider also surges ahead, dousing opponents in ink as it does so. The Tenta Missiles, Inkjet, Ink Storm, Ultra Stamp, and Booyah Bomb, among other well-known special weapons from the Splatoon series, will make a comeback. In order for players to discover the combination that best matches their splatting technique, special weapons are coupled with primary weapons.
Battle modes: There are more forms of skirmishes in the Splatlands than Turf War engagements. Players engage in Anarchy Battles for rankings. Splat Zones, Tower Control, Rainmaker, and Clam Blitz are among the four distinct modes that are alternately available. Players who wish to face a challenge alone might check out the Anarchy Battle (Series). When collaborating with pals, joining Anarchy Battle (Open) is the better option. Players may customize the modes and other settings in Private Battles to their preferences. Return of the Mammalians: The brand-new Story Mode is great for getting used to combat and weaponry while embarking on a quest to learn Alterna, the Fuzzy Ooze’s secrets and how they relate to the game’s title concept. Players will engage in combat with the Octarian Army, whose troops are oddly hair-covered, as Agent 3, the newest member of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Players may explore a variety of levels, each one full of turns and twists, with their Smallfry partner.
Features in the lobby: There are many features in the lobby of Splatsville. 3D holograms of online pals are shown. It’s simple to drop in as an enemy or join as an ally during combat. A Memory Player is also available in the lobby, allowing you to watch previous bouts in their entirety from any player’s perspective.
Customizing using the catalog: Splashtags emerge when fights begin. You may personalize them by changing the title, background, and badge. The in-game catalog, which will be accessible at Hotlantis, a convenience shop on the outskirts of Splatsville, will have all of these items as well as more. Tableturf Combat: The 1-v-1 competitive card battle offshoot of Turf War is called Tableturf Battle, and it takes place in the Tableturf Battle Dojo in Splatville’s empty lot. SplatNet 3: SplatNet 3 is a mobile-compatible online service for the Splatoon 3 video game that is available via the Nintendo Switch Online app. It has features like the ability to purchase unique in-game gear from the SplatNet Gear Shop and monitor fight statistics, among many more. Crusty Sean’s Wandercrust is a brand-new feature. Using the Inked Points obtained through victories, Crusty Sean’s trip may be supported. At launch, SplatNet 3 will be accessible.
