During the Splatoon 3 Direct, Nintendo showed new faces that players will see during each announcement. In particular, the game will add three new hosts who will talk to players about the latest news and information about the battle stages.
These three hosts are an Octarian named Shiver, an Inkling named Frye, and a manta ray named Big Man. Together, they are called “Deep Cut.”
Deep Cut will be your new Splatoon3 hosts
They are a very popular group of three people who host the news show Anarchy Splatcast in Splatsville. They will tell you the latest news and information about where the battle is at the moment.
We don’t need to be persuaded to deep dive on Deep Cut. During Splatfests, it looks like the three of them will ride around on a float… “Anarchy Rainbow,” the theme song for Splatfest, was also written by them. Look at it!
Also, Shiver, Frye, and Big Man will host the Anarchy Splatcast every day. They will talk about the stage, Splatfest, and other things. And this is something new: you’ll be able to listen to the Splatcast as you normally move around Splatsville. We like this new thing. More time to look into things!
In the first Splatoon game, players got news from Callie and Marie, who were known as the “Squid Sisters.” In Splatoon 2, players got news from Pearl and Marina of the band “Off The Hook.” So, this is the first time that players will hear news about the game from three hosts. This is likely to make room for Splatfests in Splatoon 3, which will now be between three teams instead of two.
