Splatoon 3 – Save Data bonuses detailed

Nintendo has confirmed that Splatoon 2 owners will get some special bonuses for Splatoon 3 when it comes out.

Players who have saved games from Splatoon 2 will get some special benefits in Splatoon 3, which is explained on the official website. This includes three Gold Sheldon Licenses that can be redeemed for main weapons of the player’s choice and the ability to carry over some progress from Ranked Mode.

To use this feature, you’ll need to move your save data from Splatoon 2 to Splatoon 3. This can only be done once per Nintendo Account and only on the same system and Nintendo Account where the Splatoon 2 save is located.
