Square Enix has revealed that their upcoming sequel to Dragon Quest Builders, Dragon Quest Builders 2, will be getting a demo.
The news was announced during the Dragon Quest Builders 2 Extracurricular Lesson @ AEON Mall Makuhari Shintoshin. A release date has yet to be announced for the demo, but Dragon Quest Builders 2 launches in Japan on December 20th so expect it in due time before that

It is clear a lot of work has gone into Dragon Quest Builders 2 and that the team has substantially increased the functional scope of what the game can do compared to the first Dragon Quest Builders game.
Apart from fixing elements that fans disliked from the first iteration, there is a lot of new stuff you can do. Such as an all-new dash and a Glove that will allow you to lift objects without breaking, as well as rotate them. It does seem that the core of what made the first Dragon Quest Builders so amazing is still present here.
