In an interview with GameInformer, the producer of Octopath Traveler, Tomoya Asano, told that more projects are coming. According to him Square Enix will focus on original titles for the Nintendo Switch, if Octopath Traveler sells well and it is something that appeals to fans. He advises fans to buy a Nintendo Switch and play games like Octopath Traveler.
Game Informer asked whether Square Enix is ​​already making games for the Switch, or whether the future support of the console depends entirely on the performance of Octopath Traveler.
Asano answered that there are already several titles for the Switch in the making, but that we have to wait a bit longer for Square Exix – in cooperation with Nintendo – to share more about this.
