Super Mario 3D All-Stars – 5.21 Million copies in 12 days

Super Mario’s classic 3D-platforming adventures have made a lot of money for Nintendo this year!

In Nintendo’s financial report for Quarter 2 of the fiscal year ending on 31 March 2021, they revealed that  Super Mario 3D All-Stars sold around 5.21 million copies within the first 12 days of its worldwide launch (September 18 – September 30).

Only Animal Crossing outsold it

This makes it Nintendo’s second-best selling title for the period of April 2020 – September 2020, with only Animal Crossing: New Horizons outdoing it in with 14.27 million sales in the same period.

Nevertheless, much of this demand was likely caused by Nintendo’s announcement that the game collection would only see a limited digital/physical release until the 31th of March 2020.
