The brilliant Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch managed to shift over 2.4 million copies in the first three days of the game being sold worldwide.
In perspective
The original Super Mario Maker on Wii U only managed 1,880,000 units in its entire time of being available for purchase. The Nintendo 3DS version of Super Mario Maker sold a total of 2,010,000 units.
So to say that Super Mario Maker 2 is having a great start is quite the understatement.
