Super Rare Games confirmed that their next physical Nintendo Switch release will be the adventure game A Short Hike. There will be 4,500 regular copies and 1,500 beautiful collectors edition packages that come with extras like a 46-page guidebook to retro style and more.
On August 25, 2022, you will be able to buy both versions of the game at Super Rare Games.
We’re going on a short hike!
Bring your hiking gear and come on A Short Hike with us and Whippoorwill. This popular indie exploration game will be available for the first time as a physical copy on the Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to choose between the standard edition and the beautiful collector’s edition.
- 4,500 Standard Editions: These will come with all the current content on the cart, a full-color manual, artwork on the inside, an A5 pocket-style mini-map, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.
- 1,500 Collector’s Editions – With the Standard edition of the game, there will be a 46-page guidebook to Hawk Peak in a retro style, 4 sticker sheets of the Flora and Fauna found on Hawk Peak, and a poster-sized fold-out map of Hawk Peak in a retro style, all held together by a Short Hike Belly Band. Fans will also get a Claire pin, three postcards, and Mark Sparling’s beautiful OST.
Both editions will go on sale on August 25 at 6pm BST (10am PDT/1pm EDT) and ship soon after. They will only be sold at www.superraregames.com and will be available all over the world.
About A Short Hike
Follow the marked trails or go off into the backcountry on your way to the top. Meet other hikers, find hidden treasures, and take in the scenery as you go.
- Go anywhere you want on the island. Follow the path you choose and see where it takes you. You never know what you’re going to find!
- Hike at your own pace; you don’t have to hurry to the top! Take your time fishing along the banks of a river or swimming near the shore of a lake.
- Find hidden treasures to go to higher levels. Try jumping off the tops of the mountains to fly over the forests.
- Talk to other hikers you meet on the trail. You could each help the other out!
- As you explore the wilderness, you can listen to a rich original soundtrack by Mark Sparling that changes in a dynamic way.
