Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – Kazuya presentation For June 28th

The Nintendo Direct presentation announced that Tekken’s Kazuya Mishima would be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as part of Fighter’s Pass Season 2. To share more about how he will play in Smash Ultimate, Masahiro Sakurai will be hosting a special presentation on June 28th. Like previous presentations, we can expect to learn more about the new character’s mechanics.

E3 2021’s Nintendo Direct was shrouded in mystery, but fans were nearly sure of one thing: a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character would be revealed. Nintendo Direct rose to meet expectations, starting its showcase with a trailer unveiling Tekken’s Kazuya as the newest addition to the famed fighting game. As is tradition with new Super Smash Bros. fighter additions, series director Masahiro Sakurai will host a presentation fully introducing fans to the character.

Mr. Sakurai Presents: Kazuya is set to take place June 28 at 7 AM PT. The event will give fans an in-depth look at how the Tekken character will fit into the game, as well as give some of Kazuya’s backstory so fans can fully appreciate everything he brings to Nintendo’s fighting game. The presentation will also hopefully announce the date Kazuya officially joins the game, a fact currently unknown. If Mr. Sakurai Presents: Kazuya follows the pattern of previous Smash Bros presentations, the livestream will run about 45 minutes.

Kazuya In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Past Super Smash Bros. Ultimate additions, most recently Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII and Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, have brought unique their unique fighting styles from their original franchises to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arena. New characters also bring new fighting stages and music representative of their core game. With Kazuya’s addition, there is one spot left in the DLC roster. Pending Mr. Sakurai Presents, here’s everything we know about what Kazuya will bring to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Fans got a glimpse of the fighting style Kazuya will use in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. His basic moves clearly incorporate powerful hand-to-hand combat. It also looks like Kazuya will be able to charge power by landing blows on foes, each win adding a purple charge to his body. This will allow him to transform into a demon-like version of himself, black wings, horns, and all. While in this form, Kazuya can shoot purple beams of power at his enemies, raising them in the air and shocking them with an electric-like jolt.
