Super Smash Bros Ultimate – Reflect-a-thon tournament starts October 30th

Nintendo of Europe announced a brand new Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament for users to get involved in.

This time the event revolves around the Reflex status, which means that whatever projectile is thrown at your chosen character it will simply bounce right off them! You can get involved with the Reflect-a-thon event … today!

In the unusual three-day #SmashBrosUltimate tourney “Reflect-a-thon”, starting on 30/10, all entrants will be given Reflect status. Whatever the projectile, it’ll bounce straight off!

Reflection in Super Smash Bros

Reflection is a phenomenon wherein one fighter gains control of an enemy’s projectile and uses it as their own attack. Most, but not all projectiles reverse direction upon being reflected, sending them back to their original users.

To be reflected, a projectile must come into contact with an attack or object that reflects, such as the aptly-named Reflector, Ness’s forward smash, or a character wearing a Franklin Badge.

Most reflectors increase the damage done by projectiles, while some also increase their speed. Projectiles can be reflected in any direction and can be reflected multiple times to multiplicatively increase the damage dealt.
