Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival starts drumming later this year

Taiko no Tatsujin is no stranger to the Nintendo Switch, having already released three games on the platform. Over 76 songs from different genres will be included in this volume, including “Megalovania” from Undertale, an orchestral rendition of The Legend of Zelda’s theme, and “Gurenge” by LiSA. If that isn’t enough, there will be a paid membership service that will give you access to even more music.

Though no fee has been announced, the service will debut with over 500 tracks and I’m sure more will be added in the future.

As much fun as playing rhythm games alone is, nothing beats gathering a bunch of pals and truly getting the party started. This time around, Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival adds two new multiplayer modes to the mix. First, there’s the DON-chan Band cooperative mode, in which four players collaborate to put on a concert. If you prefer competition, you may compete in the Great Drum Toy War, in which good performance sends toys to your opponent’s play area, obscuring their vision of impending notes.
