“Labor of Love,” or version 1.4.4, is a big update to Terraria that just went live on Nintendo Switch. There is a huge amount of new information, changes, and additions. There have also been changes to the whole game and a lot of bugs have been fixed.
Labor of Love update
Our team has always loved working on Terraria like it was a close family member or a child. All of this has been made possible by your consistent support over the years, both in terms of sales (over 46.1 million so far!) and in terms of your passion and drive to make Terraria more than just a game. To put it simply, the Terraria Community is an important part of the game. From crazy builds and playthroughs to the amazing modding scene and more, people have a lot to say about new features and changes. You make it so much fun to come to work every day and keep adding to what it means to play Terraria. It’s amazing to think that this game, which started out so small, has brought us all together as a team and a community. We really do think that this is the best time ever for Terraria. The game is as lively and exciting as we can remember it being.
So, here is an update on Labor of Love. The team came up with this idea when they thought about everything that has happened with Terraria over the years, including how you helped us win the 2021 Steam Labor of Love Award. We all agreed that we still had things to do to make the Terraria experience more complete and polished. After working hard for a few months, Terraria: Labor of Love is finally here! This update is a love letter to all of our fans. It’s called “Labor of Love,” and it includes a lot of ideas from fans as well as a lot of small changes that we think everyone will enjoy.
As is our custom, we’ve left behind a few surprises for you to find. On top of that, we were able to get this out to everyone at the same time. For the first time, Terrarians everywhere can celebrate a brand new update together.
You have all shown us and our game so much love and support, so please let us return that love to each of you. Thank you is not enough, so just know that we love and appreciate each and every one of you. Here’s to Terraria, a true labor of love, past, present, and future!
