Tetris 99 has been doing Maximus Cup events ever since it’s release. These usually happen to celebrate some first-party title that launched on the Nintendo Switch.
The theme you can unlock during the event is usually based on what the first-party content is.
Well, Nintendo has announced Tetris 99‘s 22nd Maximus Cup. Starting on July 9th, players will have an opportunity to obtain the Mario Golf: Super Rush theme. This is to celebrate the launch of the game that happened 2 weeks ago. It concludes at 11:59 Pacific Time on July 12th.

The Tetris 99 22nd MAXIMUS CUP event runs from 12 a.m. PT on July 9 to 11:59 p.m. PT on July 12. To participate, you’ll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online member and play the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period. You’ll earn event points based on your placement in each match.
Once you’ve accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by the Mario Golf: Super Rush game!
Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account required for online features. This game includes an in-game purchase option for users who do not have a membership.
