NIS America has released a new characters trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, featuring members of Crossbell’s Special Support Section. Lloyd Bannings, Elie MacDowell, Tio Plato, and Randy Orlando are all prominently featured.

Lloyd Bannings’s
The primary character of this game is a rookie detective in the Crossbell Police Department.
Lloyd left Crossbell and lived overseas for three years when his brother, an experienced investigator, died in the line of duty. Lloyd has returned to his birthplace after entering the police academy, graduating with honors, and becoming a detective himself.
While he is usually the most serious and by-the-book member of the group, when threatened or treated unfairly, his passionate spirit will flare.
His preferred weapons are a set of specialist police batons, also known as tonfa, designed for silencing serious threats.
MacDowell, Elie
The mayor of Crossbell’s granddaughter, Henry MacDowell.
Crossbell’s political status has long been mired in a never-ending battle between the Imperial and Republican legislative groups. Seeing the repercussions of their squabbling and planning on the people of Crossbell, Elie opted to study abroad before returning to Crossbell to join the police department, taking a different route than the rest of her family.
Elie’s disposition is kind and pleasant, as one would expect from an honors student, but she also has a daring side and likes practicing her marksmanship in her spare time.
Plato Tio
A young woman who works at the Epstein Foundation, one of the continent’s most prestigious technology institutions.
Tio was temporarily assigned to the CPD as part of her role of field testing the orbal staff, a newly designed weapon from the foundation. She is a regular source of information for the other SSS members since she is very clever and technologically adept.
Her rigid style of speaking and chilly demeanor make her seem standoffish, as though she dislikes connecting with others. However, the fact is that she just finds it difficult to express herself.
Her fighting orbal staff can do great magical harm and can transform itself into numerous shapes depending on its current state.
Orlando, Randy
A former Crossbell Guardian Force member.
Randy was about to be discharged from the Guardian Force due to his gambling, drinking, and womanizing habits when the CPD took him in and approved his transfer to its newly-created division.
He acts like a playboy and often skips work to go to the casino, but when it comes down to it, he can be really compassionate and reliable. As the SSS’s oldest member, he often takes on the role of the team’s elder brother.
As a skillful warrior, he masterfully uses a strong stun halberd to dispatch opponents.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero will be released in North America on September 27, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. The European release date is set for September 30.
