The Lord of the Rings: Gollum delay statement

Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon want to thank all of the players for their support and patience so far. The team has been working hard over the past few years to share our vision of a great story set in a beautiful world full of magic and wonder. We are committed to meeting the needs of our community and telling the untold story of Gollum in a way that is true to J.R.R. Tolkien’s vision.

So, to make sure The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is the best experience possible, we’ve decided to delay its release by a few months. We’ll let you know the exact date and time soon.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was supposed to come out on most platforms on September 1, 2022. The Switch version was supposed to come out on November 30, 2022. With what we learned, it’s likely that we won’t see the game until 2023. Keep an eye out for news from Nacon and Daedalic Entertainment about a new release date.

About The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

They are quick and agile, sneaky, and smart. Gollum is one of the most interesting characters in The Lord of the RingsTM world. He wants to get back what he lost and hold it in his hands again.

He has seen things that most people can’t even imagine, and he has lived through things that most people wouldn’t even dare to talk about. Because he has a split personality, he can be cruel and evil like Gollum or friendly and careful like Sméagol.

Gollum’s quest is an important part of the story by J.R.R. Tolkien, but not all of it has been told yet. You can play this story in The Lord of the Rings: GollumTM. From when he was a slave below the Dark Tower to when he lived with the Elves of Mirkwood, he has seen a lot.

Use stealth, agility, and smarts to stay alive and get through what’s coming. Climb, jump, and fight your way past dangers or to places that will help you.

Gollum might not be a fighter, but it wouldn’t be out of character for him to kill a careless enemy when the chance comes up or get rid of them in other creative and evil ways.

Gollum’s personality is directly affected by the choices you make and how you play: Gollum is always torn between his two sides, which are represented by Sméagol and Gollum. It is up to you to decide if Gollum’s darker side wins out or if there is still a bit of Sméagol left in him. One mind, two egos – you decide!
